  1. Ingredients:

    • 1 recipe pastry for a 9-inch single crust pie
    • 1 cup light corn syrup
    • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
    2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
    3. In a large bowl, mix together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
    4. Stir in the pecan halves.
    5. Pour the filling into the pie crust.
    6. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
    7. Allow the pie to cool before serving.
