Ingredients (4 people):

  • 3 Eggs
  • 300 gr of white sugar
  • 190 ml of Sunflower Oil
  • 140 ml of Hot Water
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 80 gr of powdered cocoa
  • 300 gr of flour with yeast
  • or 285 of flour + 15 gr of chemical yeast
  • 230 ml of whole milk
  • pinch of salt

How to make a moist chocolate sponge cake?

  1. First put the eggs and sugar in a bowl and beat with a stick mixer until they double the volume.
  1. We add sunflower oil, milk, vanilla and salt and beat at low speed so that the different elements are integrated well.
  1. Through a blender we pass the flour with the yeast and cocoa and beat again at low speed until all the flour is integrated well. Remember to go through walls with a spatula.
  1. We added the hot water, which I have heated in the microwave for 1 minute, and keep beating until we have more or less liquid mixture.
  1. With the oven preheated to 180oC and heat above and below bake for 50 minutes on the first level. Ready!
